No reason why not .. so long as method of triggering sensor and correct timing are met, powering unit are per UNITS SPECIFICATIONS should be just fine.
More to finding power tho than bolting on an exotic ignition

I understand the power thing. I do appreciate the opinion. I wasn't relay going for a power increase, I was looking more as a way to drop some weight. I found a few on ebay for a good price under 40 bucks. If it worked I thought it would be worth the price.
