I replaced the head gasket on my 26 sikk motor and had a really hard time getting head back on on now motor will not even attempt to fire. it does not seem like its getting fuel the carb is working fine though. I even sprayed starting fluid and still no fire. anyone know what I did or broke that would cause this?

check your spark plug...take it out from block while cable plug still on it contact to engine body pull starter if you can see spark that mean your source coil or spark plug okey..if not need to change it..

Also..make sure you didn't install head 180degree out. Make sure the arrow is pointing toward the exhaust port.

Compression - Does it have compression ? maybe u broke ring when installing or stucK

Yep, if it was that hard to get back on and you forced it on I would take the jug off and check the ring. It may not have been properly positioned on the pin, which should put the gap in the ring above the intake port.

check sparkplug if is wet from gasoline.if yes the carb is ok.check the sparkplug if it has spark.you dont have to bolt it on just attached to the head and pool!if is ok you have to dissasemble the engine to see if there is any damage to the ring.the truth is that the piston fits very tight to the cylinder.
