My question is... will a marine head work on an aircooled engine? I measured the bolt pattern with my calipers, and the dimension are exact. But is the porting the same? Even if it isn;t, will the engine at least run? I guess I should have said questionsssssssss. I seen several post of just machining the fins off, just looking for an easier way out

If the heads are a straight bolt on swap(same make), there is no problem.
Of course you will also have to address the piston due to expansion differences.
