Full circle crank mod .... and other tricks ... wh

Scott has published lots more pictures than I have, but this is what my exhausts look like from the inside. I do the cuts with a milling machine and it's easier to widen the whole top of the exhaust than to just widen the inside and leave the stock opening. Notice what happens with high exhaust timing after a few seasons. There isn't much metal left and cracks can start. It gives a good view of the inside of the cylinder, though.

I just checked up on the server and it looks like the pictures were lost a long time ago when doing the forum software change...I thought I had restored all the pics...spent several days on it...looks like I missed this post and I apologize.

I hear you Scott...been there... actually just went through one computer problem after installing SP1 on Vista...man what a nightmare! These service packs are supposed to be helpful yet it always seems they create more problems than they actually solve! Oh well... Just a thought, why not convert this thread into an article that could be published in the magazine part of the site...permanently archived and we could start a thread from that article linked to the forum here. That is one of the nice new features of the site...the ability to create threads linked directly to articles...makes it all more interactive for readers...wish it were used more! :) I can help with the article creation when/if you are ready.
