Hello all,
I recently picked up a weed eater from a tag sale and fixed it up by replacing most of the cracked fuel line. It worked great of course until i put it in my boat. Then i didn't start. It was leaking like crazy out of the carb. I realized that i had pulled out the tube that ran from the tank to the carb a little too much and i think that the end sat under the level of fuel in the engine, thus allowing fuel to flow from the tank into the carb via the wrong line. I ended up pulling out that line out all the way and redirecting it through a hole i drilled in the top of the tank. It seemed to work, as the carb stopped leaking. But now, the engine only starts if i prime it around five times, and even then it runs for at most 10 seconds before it dies. What is wrong? was it anything i did?
I have a small feeling that it is a minor pinch on the fuel line i replaced, but i don't think so, because that line is much wider then the one it replaced.
Sorry if i am confusing, but please help!
