we got a 23cc zen engine built/mod by M&D Designs. Engine looks barely used. would like to get more power out of it if possible? Unless this engine has power as is?

I truly understand your needs regarding the Zen.
Sorry to tell you, I can't help you out, as my engine is a heavy 40 cc Blata with a very huge exhaust and a superior piston running at 17.400 rpm delivering 13,4 brute hp.
In respect of this I think someone less motorized should help you out here.

As said I'm not much into the zens, as my Blata just works as is.
But if you remove the jug for a closer wiew, we might get closer to solving the problem.

Maybe check out the forums on here. I'm pretty sure you can tell by looking. Different bolt pattern or something. Can't remember.

If it's a real M&D modded 23 and still in good condition, probably a real good little motor as-is though. If you want to put a kit on it and its a old 2-port, you have to change crank case also. You basically just keep crank, flywheel, coils from old engine.
