Compressor or mini turbo units 26cc

david36pt created the topic: Compressor or mini turbo units 26cc

Hi Friends
I m seeng in you tube some guys with units of compressor intakes for 26cc.
Do anyone know if it works?
There are in the market any superchargers ou turbos or compressors for tunning the engines?
Does a blow fan rc Airpleane in the intake carburator make diference?
Many thanks

They are HYPE and don't work as advertised.
While turbos work in Diesels both 2 and 4 stroke, you CANNOT very successfully artificially compress cases pressure in a conventional piston ported 2 stroke.

Any pressure added RADICALLY changes the pressure rise within cases upsetting intake resonance, transfer flow dynamics and dampens power output as descending piston on power stroke tries to further compress against case pressure added.
Our pumper type carbs WILL NOT work at all in pressure above atmospheric is introduced within throttle bore.

The depth of the whys are deeper and more complex than shared above.
Just know if there was a way that actually worked you would see it in application where high output 2 strokes are common such as Snow mobiles and GP race bikes.

I did use a 12v inflator and blew into the carb while running one of my engines, picked the revs straight up and had to richen up the mix but Im here to say 'YES' as an experiment it 'DID' work.
Up to you try it yourself!

Awwwww! Your little engine is sooooo cute!

Hi
Yep snake oil
To be fair most 2 stroke motors already have a super/turbo charger.....its called an exhaust :)

Ozpulse you sound like me always thinking there something that someone didnt think of or missed :)In my younger days I was into drag racing a 125 2stroke dirt bike (it was for fun not to be competitive ) Id played around with peltier coolers..water injection, water cooling the intake manifold....the biggest bang for buck was a well built exhaust and some mild port work ....running it on methanol and nitro didnt hurt eather but boy did we go through some motors :D
