Removable head on zenoah

lohring replied the topic: Re: Removable head on zenoah

Mike Bontoft built a disk valve Zenoah several years ago, before we had a dyno. It ran very well. Recently we tested an M&D cast cylinder engine. Even piston ported it has more power than any 26cc engine except the Quickdraws. Mike thought it would be the perfect cylinder for a disk valve.

Disc valve is cool and I would not say no to an M&D cast cyl. As for making a cyl myself, I probably will in the future but right now I have enough untested things to tune, New engine, hull, gearbox, dual props. I wish i had someone to do the proto testing for me :). Engines, aren't they mostly for show anyway.

Hi patriktegelberg, i have just started to build a tethered hydroplane and thought this could be a good mod. Then run it on Nitro Glo fuel. I was just going to turn the top of the dead off and then experiment. With this kind of engine in this racing we need 20K+ rpm max power for a duration of only one minute. Is it possible to sort out the pictures and e-mail them to me?

Regards Terry.

Scott, yes i know it's 4 years old. I have only just become a member and going back over the threads i came across this one. But all the links and photo's will not open, they appear as error. I was hoping Patriktegelberg was still in touch so he would contact me or if there are any archives here where i can get what i am after. Better late than never as we English say.

Regards Terry.

Sadly NOT seen or heard from Patrick in @ 4 years tho seen some stuff on the European boards.
As for pictures, MANY were lost in a malicious hacker attack a few years ago and when site was reformatted few images were transferred back from before the hack.
