Crrc pro GW26i

isuzudude replied the topic: Re:Crrc pro GW26i

Hi guys, I'm new to the boat thing, but I used 2 of the crrcpro 26 airplane versions, and they worked(and are still working great)after about 3 years on my 104" Cub and 2 years on my 88" Cessna. Grant it that is 2 totally different animals, but at that price, why not throw one in a BASHER hull and just run the dog out of it and see what happens? I'm watching 2 on EBAY right now that they want $150.00 for or make offer. I offered 100.00 apiece for 2 of them and they turned me down :P But I had to try!!!

Kinda fell into the 50cc CRRC Pro (came with a plane) and the first thing I did research parts availability and EVERY PART is available at surprisingly good prices... Got it LN @ the end of the season but plan on running the **** out of it this coming season!

well, just to add a little.
been running my gw26i stock motor for about a year now,
out of box has been good. hasn't lost tune, or stalled out on water,
holds good speed in my mono and sounds good at WOT.

and yet still starts second, if not first pull on starter cord.
how many of you zenoah boys can say that :)

this little engine has my vote.

I know this thread is 2 YEARS OLD LOL BUT !!!!,I can say my ZENOAH ( all 4 of them) crank 1st or 2nd pull and 2 that's self mod will hit on a 1/2-3/4 pull after its ran a 1/2 bag or so . The way a engine cranks depends on the user and how much has been done to the engine as far as mods go , spark, fuel, carb so it's not just about how EASY a engine cranks !! IMHO ZENOAH is like buying a good old 350 Chevy engine , they run great, parts are everywhere !!! And there low cost , and any little thing you do to it as far as mod go you can really tell where your money went . I have 2 SAW engines that have some crazy mods and they crank with a pull or 2 . And now the Xforce is out and it's $180 with easy start and full circle crank and all the xforce parts are direct replacement for ZENOAH ( not sure about piston etc) $20 coil !!! Love it lol. So it's got way more to do with how a engine cranks lol. And to date these ZENOAHs I have have only had to have a ring and a coil , and keep your fuel straight 100% 87 oct and the diaphragm in the 257,771,1048 carbs last very long . It's more than how they crank lol.

End of the day, its a matter of whats good for you,
i brought my boat as a unfinished project, most of the parts came with the hull alone with motor,
i remounted everything in the boat, put on some boat, and shes good to go and
parts are pretty easy to get if needed.

since running, the only thing to let go was a coil, and i did replace it with one for a Zenoah due to having in laying around for a spare from another boat

i wont say Zenoahs are not a proven motor, because they are. just doesn't mean they are the only thing out there.
if my hull didn't come with the motor i would have gone with the Zenoah.
but it didn't and since using the CRRC motor, im quite impressed. starts well, good on fuel, speed is good with the hull. and i have no trouble hooning around on the river. end of the day its all about full and im having it :)

Note, i haven't set it up for racing, i did install a clutch and water pump,
as i do live been able to start it in the water, come to a stop, and go out and burn 30 minutes of fuel at a time
