On a new zen or a new evo motor what should the ring gap be?

(Metric) ... End Gap (mm) 0.05~0.25 on G260/231 engines. RCMK should be the same.
Max Limit 0.5 (mm)

All the spec can found within the operators manual found here: rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0oGklmOZ2B...enownersman.pdf

No problem doing so ... a good idea tho to undercut diameter .002" above and below ring as is customary with modified Zenoahs.

It is a mod piston, Just trying to use up old stock before i move over to all rcmk motors. Working on a self mod evo cylinder. Do i have to widen the intake and exhaust like the zen?

May I suggest if wanting to explore tuning tricks for the EVO cylinders you start a specific thread on said subject ;)

BTW, both the Operating Manuals and the Maintenance Specs manuals are available on this site in the Resources section. There's also a troubleshooting guide. Will load a lot faster and easier than that external link. :)
