English "Propshop" & USA "Voodoo props" call out there size first in metric diameter ( As in 67**) Thats 67mm diameter. next the pitch ratio ( as in **17 ) thats a 1.7 pitch ratio. *** AKA: 6717

USA "Octura props" uses metric diameter also but reverses the order with pitch ratio first and diameter second
** Note that Octura also has a lot of prefix letter codes for special profiles and are in most cases used as a #1. ( as in X470 ) Thats a 1.4 pitch ratio with 70mm diameter.

USA "ABC props" uses decimal inch's and lists them with diameter first ( as in 27** ) thats 2.7", ratio next ( As in **16 ) thats 1.6 pitch ratio. *** AKA: 2716

USA "Prather props" has NO code within prop models number used

** Those who make 3/4/5 blade versions use a suffix at end of prop number ( As in ****-3 or ****/3 ect )

Yes, nice, but according to that list a prop would be defined by its diameter and its pitch. Am I the only person that much lack information on the other prop parameters? It annoys and amazes me that the prop manufacturers get away with selling props without giving out the specs. At the very least I would like to se listings of:
Diameter
Leading edge pitch
Pitch progression
Rake

Are there no such listings available?

Not that I know of, but I agree 100% that those other parameters affect a props performance and behaviour alot.

I will add some more info that will make the diameter & pitch issue EASY to figure out ;D

Design however is proprietary and not likely going to be shared ???

I was reading this post and I absolutely agree with Patrik. But that gave me an idea: can't we just use info from fellow boaters to add info to this big table? I am more than happy to keep the table updated when people send in more info about the props. Some guidelines on how to measure can be helpfull as well.
