Are Carbon Fiber props good, if so can I use one on my WHH Magnum 57 with a mid mod zen. The price is right and for a sport boater like me they sound good. Right now I have a worked over 275 that I really like the performance on I also have a 280 that has has not been touched, so I'm looking in to some options. Thand in advance for any help.

Hi Doug,
Hap Mulvaney was working on the Groupner carbon fiber props before he passed away a few years ago. I don't think that he was ever satisfied with them. I haven't heard anymore about carbon fiber since then. His son Pat might be able to fill you in.
My 55 inch WHH Mantaray runs best with a 7013/3 by Cap'n Chuck, puts it into the high fourties with the stock WHH 260 and wet pipe.

Hap got these carbon props from me. The carbon props are populare here for testing a new boat. But they are no killer props. A good metal prop is always better. Hap liked them because you can modify them with adding a little bit of heat during the bending. When cooling down the blades stayed in place. He liked them on his cracker, but last I heard was that someone stole the box with all the carbon props at a race...
The maufactor for them is Graupner, Germany. They are available up to a diameter of 76mm.
