Propellor Pitch to Speed Calculator

Scott created the topic: Propellor Pitch to Speed Calculator

This gives you an approximate idea of what speeds a given prop might push your boat.
( Boat types and prop styles that are Mismatched will never work right however )

** You MUST know Props Pitch & Engine RPM to use Calculator **

Using Calculator:
Enter ratio as: 1 for direct drive models.

Enter Pitch in "INCHS" ... D
ecimal point included ... as is: 4.4 or whatever ?

Enter RPM, "All numbers" ... as in: 16000 or whatever ?

Hit calculate above Theoretical Speed
*** Your 100% efficiency speed will post.

NEXT :-\ Get real and give it some slippage :'(
Average slippage falls between 15 to 25% ... use @ 20% as a realistic baseline.

Enter 20 in slippage box (NO % sign), then hit Actual Speed button.
Next posts a realistic @ speed you might get if boat & prop are matched and working together ::)
