Miss Vegas problems (exhaust header)

JimmyJames213 created the topic: Miss Vegas problems (exhaust header)

i got my aqua craft miss vegas a week a go, broke it in, added a grim racer turn fin and a y535 metal prop (grimracer) after the break in. then i was running it and i noticed i was looseing power so i brought it in and the exhaust header (the L shaped piece that connects the engine to the tuned pipe) was stripped off the engine. the bolts wernt stripped at all but the exaust header was totally stripped through, their are no threads left. is this a normal thing you have to replace, or is their something seriously wrong?
i was useing odonnell 30% nitro racing fuel
os .18 engine

help? should i buy a new one or buy some longer bolts and a few nuts and try it that way or what.

this really isn't the place for this topic but just get longer bolts and nuts and be sure to use loctite, you don't want anything to be lose on a boat.

Most of the Chinese and Japanese boats use 3mm x 30mm bolts. I usually get those in the Traxxas parts area of my hobby shops. They may be a little long but if you've stripped the threads, they may be just the ticket for you so that you can add some nuts to the ends.
