i just got my first boat its a dumas 55\" scarab i wnt to put a weedeater eng. in ... but i have some ?'s i have 2 motors 1 is a ryobi 875r 4cycle and the other is a echo with a pull start monted oposite of the flex shaft.
witch one would you suggest and how exactly do you mount them to the engine rails

Hey Highmonk

So i have been looking around thinking about your motors. Its gonna be tough. You might try calling www.cc-racingengines.com they do air cooled motors for gas rc cars.

do you have a milling machine cause you will need to make engine mounts and from the looks of your motors you may need to mod them to get them to mount to the engine mounts.

Go with the Echo. I have several echo trimmers. They are light and put out decent power considering them being stock. You'll want to use a 4-point mounting system. Where the mounts are attached to depends on what year echo youu have.
