Prop Selection

mitchesx created the topic: Prop Selection

I have an A/M Sprint Cat witht he twin turbne cowl. It is mainly stock, and I am going to try to get as much out of it before I modify the motor. the plan right now is to change to a 257 carb, and switch from a wrap to center header to a 100 or 105 deg header. It has a Prather 275 prop, and I am probably getting somewhere in the mid 40s out of it. What would be a good prop to get some more RPM out of the motor and pick up some top end?

Honestly I would recommend getting in touch with Bob Austion at mysite.verizon.net/resrrsmy/th...orks/index.html or Gregg at Voodoo Props www.voodooprops.com/ Tell them what you have and they should be able to suggest some good props. I would think maybe something like a 6717/3 modified but I don't run the Sprint and never really run stock motors so I'm really not sure.
