There have been two deaths that I know of from gas boats. In one a boater rowed an inflatable raft out to retrieve his boat while another boat was running. The raft was hit and sank. The boater in the raft could not swim and did not have a life jacket. He drowned.
In another incident a child wading was hit in the chest with a gas mono and killed.
These incidents illustrate the most basic safety rules:
1 Never run with other manned boats or people in the water.
2 Always wear a life jacket when in a boat.
