Motor placement in Lazer 45

I got a Lazer 45 and it was already set up with a 260 and cc drop mounts. I got the same mounts and all and tryed to put the hatch on the boat with the engine and it does not fit. The orig owner didnt run a hatch .....

My question is where should the motor be (from transome to spark plug) so that the bubble hatch with scoop will fit???
