There is a lake about a mile and a half from my house nthat is the best lake in Orange County for model boating. It is the only lake in the county that doesn't have hard sides.

I sent an e-mail to the county parks commission, and got a sort of favorable response yesterday. We don't have permission to use the lake yet, but they didn't turn me down flat. Sounds like a definite maybe to me.

There is a fee for getting in to the park, but several people would gladly pay a small fee rather than drive 50 miles to Legg Lake.

We can't use the lake in the winter because it is stocked with trout, and there are a ton of fisherman in boats and tubes.

I'm hoping to get a demo day after the winter fish are gone for the year. There enough people around here that we could have a good demo day.

It's in Laguna Niguel, La Paz Rd at Aliso Creek. No boats allowed yet, but I'm working on it. I'll keep you posted.

If your talking about the reginal park then been there done that. My buddies got kicked out with ther rc sail boats. Theirs a lady that rents paddle boats and she said she has the exclusive at the lake. She says theres no rc allowed because it scares the fish [ making fisherman mad ] and the costumers that want to rent the boats. I dont know what exclusive she thinks she has but if shes gone then maybe you might have a chance.
