Hi there Thanks for all the help on my last post getting my engine going! Now moving on, I've had this Prather Funcruiser for several years non functioning. I bought the boat because it resembled my full sized 1989 Scarab III and Painted it to match. I did all the hull work and Sprayed it then kinda lost interest when I had troubles getting it running. Now its on ! Got a little bit of time and want it ready to go this spring.
So here we go. my electronics:

Futabo Magnum 2PL-FM
Futabo R153F
Futabo S3003
Hitec HS645MG
Duratrax DTXM4000 failsafe
4AA Battery pac

So really nothing seems to be working properly, I've only had a couple other sets (with different vehicles) and all came RTR and had never needed to fuss with anything besides a little trim here and there. All of them appearing much simpler than this Radio. So I've bypassed the on/off switch, bypassed the failsafe and all symptoms have stayed the same. I've also moved the servo positions and tried one or the other alone. The S3003 Seems to work the best but if I operate the throttle then hit the wheel it also moves more. The steering servo only goes in one direction. My Radio lcd will either show TST or CLR. The manual seems to be made for someone who has lots of experience and that's not me. It does not show any of those codes in the guide and the set up procedures stated in the guide don't seem to be accessible to me. So I guess my question is what goes bad on these sets? RX,TX, crystals, servos , all of it ? How could I trouble shoot each device or should I just pick up a new set like the Futabo 3PM-X 2.4 with the 603FF. Also if I do get a new set , assuming my servos are good would I be able to use them (analog) with the new kit.

now this isme but if you dont have a lot of money in the boat you might want to look at the flysky system(the ct3)the servos i would ho with low output servo for the th and go with a 1/4scale servo (hs755)on thw st.the raido is a 2.4 and is like around $35.00.the fail safe look at a killer bee system...but thats just me
