Can someone explain the befits of water injection in the exhaust header?

keeps noise down, obviously better fill of combustion chamber if proper made (nozzle leads to the correct amount of water), no burning of rubber or plastic or teflon connector tubes between header and pipe, temp of engine compartment will be less than dry driven, so the carb air will be a bit cooler......

Does it have any effect on hp and torque?

less air-temp for carb = bit more fill = bit more torque = bit more hp
less temp in exhaust = better refill by pipe = bit more torque.......

BUT: I do not know who ever has prooven this by dyno measurements, my thoughts came from practical experiences and subjective feelings ( I would never build a boat w/o water injection)

I think he's asking about water injection for pulling bigger props like running saw .
Is that what your asking about ?
Or are you asking about water cooled flange pipes etc ?

I started the gas boat hobby with a whh exhaust water injection tuned pipe. I changed to a dry pipe and noticed the difference, a drop in performance.
I'm thinking of going back to water injection pipe. But different engine, pipe, setup.
Doing research first though.

I would guess you didn't have the dry pipe adjusted to the correct length. A dry pipe will need to be set longer than a wet pipe. I would expect better performance from a well set up dry pipe than from a WHH wet pipe. Doug

Thanks to Daniel's 1" pipe package I think I have a great dry pipe.

But my research on 2 cycle pwc water injection in the exhaust improves the performance.

You have a great pipe
One of the best out there
You can try anything but it's all been done and like I said you've got a great pipe . I'd say top 3 made if not top 2 lol
