I do have a local lumber yard that has 1/8" luan plywood. Do you have any pic's of Homelite engine mounts? Any chance I could get you to share the revised templates?

I have pics of the engine mounts that I copied from the Major Smackdown site. PM me your address and I'll send you copies of the frames that I had printed out the right size. Also below is a PDF of the frames. Did you contact me on Model Power Boat site about a Homelite I have for sale ?

Thanks everyone!!
Can I use a homelite with one of the welded flex cable/stub shafts without the ferrule? If so, Can you please explain the setup and what components I need to do this? I'm thinking that it won't work because the flex will slide out of the engine's square drive.

If you use a solder ferrule on the shaft end it will keep the cable from sliding out. another option (only if WHH division of Bonzi still does it) is a double square set up. they used to make the cables and have a nice shaft with integral square socket.

Care to share how you do it? I am handy that way but I don't have a mill though. I like to keep things simple. I see some boat's that are so blinged out they look complicated in setup. I like the crackerbox for this reason.
Where can I get a cooling cap for my homelite?
