Blistering Run

"Congrats to CC and Mark Grim on the blistering one way run of 109.4"

Mike Bontoft still holds the record for gas hydros. He made several one way runs over 110 mph. Mike's record, set in 2004 should be broken soon with higher pitched props. The Quickdraw he used probably only had 3 or 4 hp at the 23,000 rpm he had to run.

I was predicting that Mark would brake the record this year. He knows how to build the prop to do it. Today's engines still don't have the peak power of that carefully selected Quickdraw. However, if you can prop for peak power at 110 mph, they have nearly twice what we had in 2004 at 23,000 rpm.

Lohring,
I have a lot of respect for you, but it is quite a insult to constantly only give credit to prop changes for our increase in speed. You have no idea what we have done engine wise to increase speed yet you constantly babble on about how our props are what has given us such increases in speed. You would be quite surprised to find out that we have not made many changes with props until last year with the help of Brent Daily and all the increases in speed has been to changes within our engine program. Just because you have hit a stone wall with the engines you have tried to modify does not mean that everyone else has also. Reading books and studying 2-stroke theories like you have does nothing to help first hand experience with modifying engines and real world results. From what i have seen of your work you should get back to practicing.

Every time someone brings up our teams accomplishments you must make sure to let them know that we must really be figuring out the props to get our new found speed. Would it kill you to admit that we are just figuring out better ways to make more average power across the board? You honestly know nothing about our program and yet you throw out insinuations like you are part of our team and know the facts when obviously you know nothing. Your team mate Mike B. is a very sharp guy and I enjoy speaking with him whenever I get the opportunity to. Maybe you you should take notice at how much he posts on other people accomplishments and follow suit.
