Where did this radio equipment come from? Were the radio systems tuned by the various manufacturers or did you tune them yourself? What is the value of a test such as this, when 1320 ft is equivalent to 1/4 mile? Do you run your boat in one direction away from you a measured 1/4 mile distance? Interesting, nonsense!

What I see is more meaningless nonsense! I can't imagine what you saw that might remotely apply, unless you are running on a lake like Falls Lake in NC which is approximately 6,000 ft across & more than 12 miles long. This is where I do my testing, therefore maybe I should look into this. LOL!

Watch a video or two - you might learn the size of the lakes in Northern BC

Williston Lake
The lake fills the basin of the upper Peace River, backing into the Rocky Mountain Trench which is where the Parsnip and Finlay met at Finlay Forks to form the Peace. The lake includes three reaches, the Peace Reach (formerly the Peace Canyon), and the Parsnip and Finlay Reaches, which are the lowermost basins of those rivers, and covers a total area of 1,761 km2 (680 sq mi),[1] being the largest lake in British Columbia and the seventh largest reservoir (by volume) in the world.[/b

Is this where you test your boats or are you just trying to impress me? I'm sure you will be able to show all of us the gasoline powered retrieve boat you use if something should happen to that radio???? LOL!!!!

One of the things about where I live - is the AMOUNT of lakes we have within the Prince George Lakes District - and yes I have ran on Williston and many other large lakes here - it's what we do when we work and live in the north.

Yes I have a gas boat 17' Campion 3.oL inboard

But I'm wasting valuable yard work time -- if you stop reading my stuff you can get work done

Cheers

I don't do yard work, someone does that for me. LOL! Oh, I also have a nice retrieving boat. It's docked so there is no picture. There are many lakes in North Carolina suitable for model boating purposes, to many to name. Google a map & see for yourself.

Do you use a 17 ft boat when you run each & every time? LOL!

I'll test my GPS against the boat to see what they all say -- have to finish tuning up 'gas powered retrieve boat'

Actually No I don't use 17' all the time -- depends on lake - mostly a 10' Tender with either Oars, electric motor or small kicker - has little boat rack on it as well yes I wear a life jacket - and so does anyone in it.

We needed a stable boat - even works for TooTall - stable and light ......... :cheer:
