R42 rudder help

Im finally getting around to building the R42 and Im wondering, what length stand off and should I go with a tapered or straight rudder? I'll be mounting the strut inside the hull.

Most of the R42 I have seen are using the short stand offs 1 1/8 - 1 5/8 with a straight blade rudder

The setup sheet on the R42 is good in term of rudder placement. I would follow the setup sheet. Madanna67 is correct IMO
