The Killer Bee kill switch is no longer manufactured.
It has been replaced by the Super Bee still made by Killer R/C but this one is more user friendly and added functions.

I've never seen those before. Are they intended for radio systems without failsafes?

They are for radio with or without failsafes. You usually don't want to set the failsafe for any channel you have a kill switch connected to.
The failsafe will replicate a valid signal an the kill switch will have no way of monitoring for loss of signal.

Plug into channel 3 or 4 and have the failsafe disabled on that channel.

It will shut down at loss of signal, loss of power, low battery and remotely.

Bear with me gentlemen . I am new at this. I built 2 boats this winter that have yet to be run. I also bought a used fiberglass sport hydro. The S/H had wires coming from the coil and that is how I found out about the Super Bee..I bought a Futaba 3PM-X 2.4 Fssst radio w/ 603FS receiver..Very user freindly! My questions: The radio has a F/S so do I need a Killer Bee? Do you have to have didgital servos for the F/S to work? I think mine are analog. Will theF/S work if one servo is analog and one isdisigital?

Tony,
The integral failsafes will do everything a kill switch will do except save you from total loss of power or a throttle servo failure(which is no big deal since we only drive wide open anyhow, lol).

The radio's failsafes will work on channel 2 only and you have to reset it every time if you have either servo analogue.

It only makes sense with these new radio's to run digital servos. All the quality stronger servo's are all digital pretty much anyway and then your failsafes can be set for each model and they are always saved and operational.

When you set up your radio for shutting down you need to be careful to have the BRAKE side EPA turned down enough so it will shut down but zero bind or overrun because when you set your failsafe to full back trigger you don't want to burn up the servo when the boat is upside down in the water as they most often go in failsafe when the antenna is submerged.

OK, I checked and I do have all didigital servos. I will have to read the manual andl set the F/S for each boat. I am getting there slow but sure..Daniel thanks for all the help over the winter months !! I am going to send you and Carlo some Boston Strong lobsters. I e mail Carlo at least once a week and he always helps me. Great person like yourself for the betterment of the hobby. Nuff said, Tony
