how are you guys putting these in your boats , i was told just to put velcro on the bottom and put it in , i have always wrapped my batteries and that in foam and even put them in balloons in my airplanes and they sure do not take the beating they do in a boat ,

I would do like you have done, wrap up in foam and the balloon good idea too. Guard against heat from the tunned pipe. Open the box between outings in case any moisture gets in the box so it will dry out.

I use AC Quick Change box's in all my boats. They bolt to the stringers so there are no mounting holes into the box. I make my own servo mounts and a receiver platform that are bolted to the bottom of the box and sealed with epoxy from the underside. My receiver is held down with peel and stick velcro and all the servo wires tuck under the platform. The battery pack sits on peel and stick foam rubber. I use a small hunk of cut down pool noodle on top of the pack and below the lid to keep it from bouncing around. I use Areomarine pushrod seals also. Since I run 2.4, the antenna tube comes out right thru the lid. An O ring is used to seal that. I water test all my box's before I put them into the boats. A good tape job and the water stays out. I do open the box after running every time to recharge batteries. Brian
