Hello folks!
I'm rather new to this hobby, but I have a China cat with a CY motor that I have been prepairing and modifying a liitle bit for some time now. I have never had any problem with starting the engine, but now when everything else is in place and was about to try it out on the water, it will not start any more. There are a little response but only when it is not choked. Usually it is on with the choke, it runs a little. Off with the choke and it starts. The carb needles is set to 1 1/2 turns
Can it be an electrical issue? or maybe a gas issue

?? preparing and modifying what mods did you do- squish ect porting how much ,? what are the timing #'s now.
what carb is on it ??? try 1-1/2 on low and 1 on high.more info and pictures might help.
bad gas? air leak ? lots of variables here. pull plug ?? lots of spark and what color is the spark [not the plug color]. carb on properly? does it have a primer bulb?gaskets installed right? when it does start and you give it gas what happens?? does it idle ?? what does it do when it starts ??

It was the carb needles that were turned to much out of position. After resetteing them to adviced position,it started again.
