Hey fellas, I'm building my first boat (51" Cheetah mono)for me and my son. Can someone show or give me a link to some good pictures of how to mount a tube? I have read to just use a 5/16 tube mounted in the boat, a 11/32 tube mounted in the boat with a 5/16 inside it, and a few others so I'm confused. I was actually thinking of 2 or 3 short pcs. of 11/32 mounted in the boat with epoxy (transom, bottom of hull, and close to engine in a t bar of sorts) and then the 5/16 through those. I am trying to keep this as simple as possible because I am a total newb to these boats. I will be using a HOR(i think) adjustable stinger so how far should the tube come out of the back of the boat? I'd really appreciate any help.

Spend the 15.oo to Tom for the backing plate that comes with that drive (has clamp in it and 5/16 tube just slides in. Simple.

It is made for that drive

EVen a clamp if u use 2 tubes is 9,00 so just get plate bolt in and bolt in tube
