I'm looking to get my first rc gas boat. I have a nitro boat but really want to make the switch to gas since they're cheaper to operate plus I like the larger scale boats.

I'm not looking to break the bank and I found one locally for $350. It appears to have a homelite 30cc water cooled engine but no tuned pipe.

How hard will it be to add a tuned pipe? Who makes one that'll work?

For $350 it comes rtr with radio/receiver and the guy says everything is operational and the engine starts and runs good.

Any advice if this is a decent buy or not?

350 seems a bit high IMO

looks a shambles back there - needs a watertight servo box for electrics looks as the servos are attatched to one of the rails

If the hulls ok ( i wouldnt rate the homelite) offer the bloke somewhere arround $200

you can get tuned pipes for whipper snipper motors but you probably want to mod the motor as well

It wasnt worth it. Im going to fix my aquacraft supervee27 nitro for now. It just needs a flex shaft and im putting a macs tuned pipe on it.
