Help identify this Scarab Hull

vicescarab created the topic: Help identify this Scarab Hull

Hello there.

New to the forum but not to model boats.

Back in 1985 I bought a boat that looks just like this one from Franciscan Hobbies in San Francisco, CA. I built it up to look just like the Miami Vice Scarab. To save space in my house I sold it 3 years ago but now I'm regretting it in a major way.

I want to recreate the boat again but I'm having a hard time identifying the maker and model of the hull. Anyone here know who produced this hull? First thought was that it was made by Dumas but after reviewing pictures of their products online, I don't think it was from them.

I found these pictures of someone who posted this online. This is the exact hull I'm trying to identify. I know the hull is approxmately 48".

Any ideas?

Thank you.
