V24GHB:
With a 52 inch hull, this is big enough to handle a variety of conditions.
The one video I watched shows the boat handling some chop with ease.
I think the motor displayed is a Hua Sheng. I don't know how well they
hold together but I like the fact it is a four screw cylinder and
crankcase. The carb looks like a Walbro. Maybe Hua Sheng is taking the
marine market more seriously.
-The water cooled exhaust manifold is a plus (notice also it's a 4 barb -
has to be a 4 barb due to a short water line on one side looped back to
another barb on the manifold).
-The engine also appears to be a purpose built marine motor - not borrowed
from a weedeater.
-The dual water pickups are good.
-The radio box lid is not blocked by the tuned pipe and the lid is
secured by a series of screws.
-The antenna is positioned well away from the heat of the exhaust
-Includes a clutch which makes a first gas boat easier to get acquainted
with.
I like the convenience features and simple engineering - the designer is
staying with basic ideas that work.
A boat this size could easily run a 27cc (or larger) engine so buying
the kit is an interesting option too.
I have no idea how well the engine stringers are mounted in the hull.
I recommend inspecting any factory built hull carefully - if you are not
convinced the stringer attachment is robust then take a few hours to
add some epoxy filets along the stringer/hull joints. Easy to do and
once done properly there is no way they will ever come loose.
There is no mention of a water pump in the cooling system - if there is
no pump then adding one should be considered. This is a very easy
upgrade.
Compared to the Exceed boat mentioned earlier in this thread I admit
I like what I see in the pictures of the V24GHB better. Thanks for
pointing it out.

Question: I keep trying to compare the engine displayed here:
www.nitrorcx.com/99p-12008-dr-...cProductReviews
with the one installed in the V24GHB. Because of the limited views, it is
difficult to conclude there is any difference other than the type of
cylinder (spark plug position) installed.
I really wish Hua Sheng would make a Web page available that explains
their marine engine product line.

This one has a ZEN engine and dual rudders for about the same price.
They cannot be serious about free flat rate shipping (third option) can
they?
Also note the pictures from the "Airplane Factory" and the "Boat Factory".
While the boat factory looks to be illuminated well and lots of people are
staying busy, the airplane factory looks like it has a skeleton crew that
works with the lights off. What's up with that?
