I am building a zippkits easy vee. I definantly have to give a nod to zippkits for this kit. I've built a number of rc planes and love working with my hands and i really appreciate zippkits approach to this model. Great for first time boat builders.

I am to the point that I am epoxying the wooden hull and making sure it is slick and smooth.

I purchased a a badger 155 airbrush with the idea of painting the boat. I have a 5 gal compressor with an output regulator so i can regulate the pressure down.

I would love some input on the best paints to use. Primer to color to gloss.

What kind of thinning ratios and such.

If anything, at least a thread somewhere that i can read that already discusses this.

Your air is Ok The badger is too small. Get a K3 from Harbor Freight. you'll be happier under $20/ with water trap . I like KlassKote klasskote.com/index.html

thanks for the reply and the advice. I love harbor freight. Are the pinstripes on your boat painted? If so what do you use as masking?

No, the trim came from PepBoys

Zip kits do make and easy boat to build I built two of the Thunderboats.

Painted them both with An Itawa CS using a .35 nozzle and a .50 on the heaver paint. All Autoair color then 3 coats of urethane two part clear.

I got the engines from Summit Racing they are hemi dragster replicas.
