I love a do it yourselfer! the satisfaction of watching your boat tearing around the pond must be awesome! The fact that your boat is in demand by other people must be an even more satifying feeling. Keep it up! Bravo! :woohoo:

I decided to make one with a bit of sparkle
,this one has clear gel with holographic flakes in the mix backed up with blue gelcoat. No paint here just gelcoat
.Lots of work to get this right but its worth the effort i think ?.Also in the pics the top has just been pulled ,trimmed and wiped then sat on the hull for the pics, not even polished up yet so you can imagine what its going to shine like after been buffed using marine polishing compound.

I'm new to all this but i'm interested in making my own.
I've already made a smaller boat out of marine ply with a 550 electric outboard which runs nice, but i'm looking for a bigger challenge and one that i can drive in a few waves.
A few questions:
Where do you get the moulds from and what size of boat for a house hold 'weed whacker' style of engine.
any help appreciated,
Aidan
