I have now decided to build the 72 inch mono instead of my homemade plans for the 52 inch mono as i did not think they were as good as i thought they would be.

still using the same power plant.

im thinking im going to build a plywood rudder to start with.

Jumping up to that size boat means it will no longer fit into a 'normal' car for transport to the pond.
A plywood rudder?? I think unless you were laminating the strips yourself alternating with some CF or similar it wont hold up to the job, although it would look nice.

I will take a look in my stuff, I should have a strut and rudder I could send you. Build the boat!

Dear marc i am going to build the 72 inch as i have a large, i mean very large pond in my backyard that i can drive the boat in. my dad also has a truck i can use to transport the boat. therefore i am going to build the 72 inch.

if you cold sned me a strut and rudder assembly to could you also send me a ferrule and a shaft for a prather 280 prop? that would be awesome

I have actually decided to build my own rudder and purchase a strut offline
sorry.

hold the assembly for a few days. i may want it. it must fit a 1/4inch prop shaft though.
