Miss Spokane Thunderboat on the water

keno created the topic: Miss Spokane Thunderboat on the water

Had some nice weather this weekend and got the thunderboat out for a run. Tried the turnfin off the whiplash to see what happens. Seemed to do pretty good, though I think the other turnfin is faster, need a GPS to find out for sure.
enjoy

Thanks guys, should be able to get the GPS in it tomorrow. Don't have anybody around here with comparable speed so I have NO idea how fast she's going.

Ha! I was wondering where my headers on the left side of my dummy motor went. I knew they fell off that day but could never find them. I was looking at a couple of the pictures you can see it floating in the exit of turn 4 poking straight up. No big deal, 10 min on the scroll saw and I'll have another set. Need to glue them on better next time I guess. :D

My buddy Tom did that on his too, they look cool like that, not quite scale but they look neat. I lost the other headers and broke the dummy motor in half today when I launched it in the air in heavy rollers. It was really rough but it handled it very well and I did fine until it calmed down a little and I got brave in the corner. We got it all on video so I should be able to post it in the next couple days. Had fun and no damage so it was a good day.

Funs what its all about,i ran the old Rocket in some rough water and it too handled it well.Sold her last week hope he has as much fun as i did with her.i Flipped her at 60 mph she went 6 -8 ft in the air and hardly a scatch .Im going to concentrate on my own designs from now on,the one in the pic and in my signature been one of them.
Mart

Here's a slow mo crash from last weekend. It was kind of like that old game show "Press your Luck" Sooner or later one of those waves was going to get me. :D
