Roger Newton's First Gas Sport Hydro... WOW!

marc created the topic: Roger Newton's First Gas Sport Hydro... WOW!

I am posting this for Roger.

Modeled after a 2.5 Liter hydro that was built and driven by Scott Liddycoat. This will be my first Gas Sport hydro. It is 50" long, 22" wide. Powered by a Zenoah 26 that is from M&D Designs. Will see its first time in the water at the Winternats.
Thanks , Roger Newton.

I've seen Liddycoat's boat at the World Championships in Cambridge - new twist on a "conventional" (tho there's nothing conventional about this hull!) Pretty sweet boat - awesome job with the reproduction, bet it runs great as a sport hydro. ;) BTW - They used to use 280z motors in these, not sure what they're running today, alot of them run injected methanol on a modded motor. Can always tell by the way they scream. SAW record on the full size is around 130.
