Jim,
Ed is good people and owns IT tech company. One of the most friendly trustworthy people I know.

If there is anything we can do from here in South Florida we have a few friends in Miami and the Keys or near Alberto if there is anything we could do to help. I don't know if there is physical equipment, hardware or software but if anything needs to be picked up or shipped to you Jim or anything we could do we would be glad to help.

Any idea Jim or Ed what it might cost to get started fresh. I realize it is not just the money but a lot of time.

I think there is quite a few of the boat dock guys that are here also and would see a post for donations to get the dock back up and going. You can bet there is a few guys like me that sold a LOT of product through the dock that would step up and make some pretty big donations.

You make a good point Bob. A LOT of the old Dock activity was to do with buy and sell, at no cost to the participants. And if you look at the new IW gas forum, everyone wants it for the " gas for sale" section. Jim has asked before for modest donations for site improvements from the members. I think they would probably do it again if they thought it would be put to good use. Given the HUGE ( for our hobby ) market that the old Dock reached, I wouldn't think it unreasonable to take a very small % of each sale to help maintain that kind of exposure. I know it's easy for me to say, as I don't sell anything, and I buy very little. But I have contributed $ to the Dock in the past, and would probably in the future.

I think it would be great if we had to contribute 3% of the sale price to MGB , JRCBD or INTLWATERS. You pay Paypal 3% to handle your transaction, why shouldn't you pay the websites for use of the site where you sold our item.

I think 3% is more than fair.

And if you sell and don't pay your 3%, then you can't sell there again until you do pay. Just like a credit card.

Yes, I should have mentioned this and other "for sale" forums as well. And I don't think that for the cost of a "take out lunch or 2", that anyone that can afford a hobby, would object very much. It would be easy for a guy to squeak past it, but ... REALLY?

Hey Jim, Pretty sure Alberto is on another site trying to sell heli's now. Maybe you can contact him there.

The BEST way to support MGB is - JUST click on the adds you see (at top of page). It helps MGB and cost you nothing.

I click on them several times a day - just for it helping MGB

Just my 2 cents

Something fishy is going on. He was one the FB page last week and let 2 members in, one was the Spammer selling fake sunglasses yet people are claiming that's he's AWOL/whatever. That was last Tuesday.
