Part of the reason you don't see much on this engine is that no one is making a pipe that is correct for a gas engine of this size.

We are working on a suitable pipe for our conversion however.

Small monos and riggers are the best bets for this engine.

I'm sure someone has tried a 1.ci or about 18.5cc aluminum pipe?

I'll probably end up getting a mhz kit. And sending it to c&c. :P

What do you mean with "very good results"? In comparison to what? A Homelite? An electric?.... ???

Quite obvious, a stock engine with only added water jacket & mounts.
Rated power is at ONLY 11,000 rpm :-\

It certainly would allow getting the engine into a boat ... But as for some more HP !! .... ??? ???

Scott, i am sure in the hands of an experienced "horsepower-grinder" like yourself some significant gaines can be made. Also this is rated with the stock muffler. A nice little tuned exhaust (like a pipe suitable for a .90 nitro engine) will improve that even more. Mind you, these engines will be fitted in smaller boats and they may not need that huge amount of hp to get going...... (omg what did i just say..... ::) ;D )
I will not buy anything like this for now. Got enough projects at hand. However it again is a new development. Something is brewing for 2008, new CMB engine, RCMK engine, etc, etc.

Marc,

More than even HP is some decent higher RPM, It is well known boats run / handle better with smaller props turning higher rpm .. than those running bigger props at lower rpm.

I am keeping my ears & eyes wide open to the use of one of these in a smaller Mono that still sits in my stash of GREAT nitro hulls that never again will be run under nitro power :-X

Now if they can get the price WAY DOWN !!
