MATHO replied the topic: Re: Power Spark

please let me tell some things:

the power-spark was developed around the ZENOAH 260PUM and needs the secondary coil of this engine or the one which is shipped with a RCMK-package. These secondary coils do have the same electic values, no differences found out. I think the RCMK one is a bit better due to it's longer spark-cable and due to the possibility to chánge this cable with ease (only turn it out).
Meanwhile we have converted the following engines:

ZENOAH
RCMK, single (side and rear exhaust) and twins
ChungYang (I think called SIKK in US)
CMB 26cc
CMB 35cc
MTC twin (ZENOAH based)
all of my engines (ZEN or RCMK based)
KREIDLER 50cc 2-stroke bike (model year around 1965)

We are working on a 35cc SG in the near future.

Our plan is to give satisfaction to each single customer, not only to sell as a lot of dealers / manufacturers are doing that, we are hobbyists and we have fun to help via recommendations up to complete drivetrain packages.

If any customer wants to convert his ignition to a power-spark at a unknown engine (for us so far) we will help and do the machanical work for this here in Germany if requested.
If this first engine runs we have a new howtodo and will give assistance to all followers.

Battery:
I have built a MHZ-Reckless with my RAT HOUSE 4-cylinder and will use the power-spark with 2 x 5 cells Eneloop together with RC. I think 1 hour of driving incl. reserve is possible with this setup (the limits are not any parts of the boat, the limit is me due to my adrenalin).
My test boat MHZ NoMercy with MOUSE HOUSE has only a 5-cell Eneloop pack for ign. and RC and I have run it more than 90 minutes a day w/o any issues.

My question may be out to lunch ..... but I had to ask

Matho or Scott - do you think the controller can be modified to control spark and at same time control a injector - as in fuel injection

I was thinking of the setup for Scotts twin if first 'channel' or 'program' can run ignition could the second run a injector

I already use nitrous solenoids in a few boats and work quite well (2 x 9v batt last whole day) and I know I have more pressure in NO2 bottle then I would have in fuel injection system - so what I would need is a way to control a injector and way thinking should be with same controller as timing

Just wondering = ya I know I;ve been in sun too long .... Lol
