BUT in this case I must admire the beautiful work and finish on this one.
You perform a lot of fine craftmanship, Marc!
Cheers!

To me they are simple constructions, and I want challenges on the construction part.
Woodie.
You will doubtfully find a boat style so critical in being built square and true and more challenging in setting up than a racing rigger
When it comes to riggers being simple beasts ... LOOKS are very deceiving !

Take note that I payed my respect to the beautiful craftmanship in building this rigger. Amongst the finest I have seen so far.
But building a rigger will never be the same challenge as building a wooden mono with a plywood bottom twisting in two directions towards the front and over a row of spants of which none is angled in the same way as the other.
No offense meant by that.
This actual rigger IS beautiful made, and I can't wait to see it finished and in action!
Cheers!
Woodie

I really have to agree here...I've built more than one wood boat, and done monos...in my opinion it's more difficult to build an accurate rigger than it is to build an accurate mono. You can get away with alot more on a mono...Just my opinion based on my experience. ( * look forward to a good race mono kit from MGB in the near future also! )
That said though, I designed this kit so that it would be easy for just about anyone to build accurately...
In the very near future, my father might be stepping in to build some of these kits for me since I don't really have the time to build many. If that works out, we will have some really nice ARTR riggers to offer as well! My father is a MUCH better wood worker than I!
Small note... the sponson tips on the two I've built for Scott and Will have pine nose pieces. I'm thinking of supplying the kits with yellow birch or maple blocks for the nosepieces instead...this includes the tub nose piece as well. What do you guys think? A bit more time to spend on sanding and shaping, but much stronger.

Having just finished the actual building aspect of my twin rigger and using OAK at tub and sponson tips ( Over Kill !! ) something hardness/toughness in the middle sounds about right
