2in 2out water pump was created by Lachette
Hi all, been lurking around trying to learn everything I can, but I finally have a need to post a question. I just recently bought a boat but turns out it comes with a clutch and no water pump. It has 2 pickups one to the water jacket and one to the header and tuned pipe. the manufacturer says it was just made to ease launching, but I'd like to put a pump in just in case.

Bonzi sells a 2in 2out walbro pump but I really think their $13 dollar S&H charge is pricey for something that small. I know that these water pumps are really actually fuel pumps just used to push water instead of fuel.

my question, does anyone know where i could find this pump outside of bonzi? or know what application it is used for so maybe i could at least describe it or get a part number to it such that a small engine shop or a marine engine shop would be able to source it or even stock it locally.

Thanks!

I'm not sure which pump Bonzi is selling so there no way I would know how
to find the same pump elsewhere.

I do know the Proboat PRB2651 is a popular pump. $23.99

The Proboat pump is cheap in price but very good quality. Trying to save 5 dollars on a pump (for a boat with a clutch it is a needed thing not a extra) can cost u lots more when you burn (over heat) the engine up because your 'version' of a water pump is not working.

Should always have
- good clean water pickups
- good silicone or high quality rubber hose
- clean fittings
- good o rings
- a pump that works if you have a clutch + the vacuum line needs to be vacuum hose so it does not collaspe

your choice

I own a mower shop. That's cheap for a fuel pump. Yes it needs to work off vacuum from the motor. The advantage is when the boat is idleing or moving slow the water pump is still pumping, Cooling the engine. Hope that helps. :S
