Having water problems with my rigger was created by JP100+
Have tried almost everythin. My last resort is to go to a carb mounted water shield. Any help would be appreciated. Trying to get it ready for the winter nats and she still needs a paint job.

Thanks
Javi

Also having a WP rigger and using a carb mounted intake protector, I DON'T like it either !! .....
So what you saying is water is getting into carb and causing issues with the cowl ?

May want to look at this thread and apply the little perimeter edge trim tricks, what I will be doing being I plan on NOT using carb mounted intakes any longer.

We tried everything under the sun to get the carb mounted snuzzler to work. We ended up running the cowl Marc sells and that was the ticket. You have plenty of time to get one before the Winternats. Don't delay!!

Wow!!! That doesn't even look like the cowl I sent you!!! Looks like you hacked it up pretty bad. The cowl should be used, full, as was sent, with the "lip" that was also with the cowl. The lip is fixed to the tub once you have your engine mounted to get the correct angle on the cowl according to your engine setup. That's why the lip is not mounted to the boats when I send them out.

If you want to try the carb mounted shield, like I told you in private messages, I can send you a glass one that I was using on my Warpath, but honestly, the cowls have been bullet proof since we introduced them, when used as they were meant to be. The carb shields on the other hand have worked for some and not for others. Choice is yours. If you want to try another cowl and mount it with the lip as designed, I can lay one up for you shortly. Just cover shipping. Let me know what you want to do.

If the cowl is mounted correctly and you are still having engine issues, look elsewhere. We've been running the boats through all conditions without any issues whatsoever. BTW I do not cut the back off of my cowl...some do, but I do not. Plenty of air from inside the tub and engine area. Even less chance of water issues this way.

I will try whatever you think. I guess I will try a complete cowling and not touch it. I have also been plagued with a few bad carburators as well. This rigger is solid and little I have seen definately tells me she is going to be a runner. Thanks for the insight guys. Javi

Yea would like both just in case. Which ever I don't use will let you know and keep it here just in case you ever want to give it to some one else to try. I could send it back to you as well. Will more than likely just Paypal you in the future for the cowl and shipping. Thanks for your help. Javi
